What you are bidding on is a probably the rarest soul record of all time!  VARIOUS ARTISTS: BLACK-OUT New Sounds of 70.  This is a double lp set privately pressed in Oklahoma in 1970.  The first record is kick ass soul from high school students. Here's for auction, probably the rarest soul funk album ever including some tracks from bands like Anatics, Soul Sonics, Chante's etc. Recorded in early 1970, one disc is soul and funk and other is gospel. It's a gatefold record with some amazing black & white picture inside. This is the fourth copy surfaced on the market and, if it's true only 4 copies of it known, the last one around. 100% original copy!!!  The bad news first:  The second lp is damaged on side 3 and virtually unplayable (it is the gospel disc, not the soul disc), side 4 is VG, plays ok, with some pops and ticks, but well enjoyable.  THE GOOD NEWS: The first lp of the set (the soul set) is much better condition, plays VG to VG+, but could stand some cleaning.  THIS IS THE FOURTH RAREST RECORD OF ALL TIME according to Goldmine.

Check out what is said by GOLDMINE: $3,107 —Various artists, “Black Out: New Sound of ’70,” double LP. “The Holy Grail is back!” the seller writes of this copy of Century Records 38127, which features soul, funk and gospel performances by the likes of the Soul Sonics and Anatics. But for a holy grail, this record sure has shown up on Market Watch a lot this year, selling for $5,801 for a VG+ copy and $3,700 for a Mint Minus copy, both this spring.

Point is, this record is so rare virtually very few exist and it's tough to find in any condition.  The first record could stand a good cleaning, but is well enjoyable....  YOU WON'T FIND ANOTHER ONE, TRUST ME.

RECORD:

DISC ONE VG to VG+ (THIS IS NOT MINT, SO DON'T BID IF YOU THINK IT IS)  I've played this and it does have some pops and ticks, but plays ok thought the disc.

DISC TWO: VG- to VG (side three damaged and cannot be played, side 4 is VG- to VG).

You won't find a better copy.
