This new 2xLP 30th anniversary vinyl edition of the superbly curated soundtrack to Reality Bites is a musical testament to a under-recognised film classic. The 1994 romcom starring Winona Ryder, Ethan Hawke and Ben Stiller follows the deflated life of an aspiring videographer, who in turn documents the disenfranchised lives of her friends and roommates. Thus known for its candid but still somewhat sensationalistic depiction of the young adult lives of Generation X, the soundtrack therewith is fitting, featuring from Squeeze, Dinosaur Jr., The Knack, U2, Lenny Kraviz, Big Mountain, Me Phi Me and even Ethan Hawke himself.
