Condizioni : la copertina apribile mostra sui due lati esterni alcune pieghe e grinze soprattutto in prossimità degli angoli. Da aggiungere una modesta usura lungo i bordi. All'interno troviamo un magnifico libretto di diciotto pagine (che comprendono anche il retro dei due lati esterni) con la tracklist e foto di tutti i partecipanti al disco oltre ad alcune scene da "8½", da "Ieri, oggi, domani", "Le Bambole", "I Tre Volti" e Catherine Spaak, guardate per cortesia le foto n° 7, 8, 9 e 10. Le pagine non hanno alcuna scritta o strappo ma solo del lieve raggrinzimento su qualche angolo; bello stato, EX / il vinile ha qualche segno superficiale che addizionato alla sua non perfetta qualità originaria produce all'inizio da entrambi i lati un certo rumore di fondo oltre a qualche clicchettio in genere leggero; bello stato, VG+

Condition : the gatefold cover shows on the two outer sides some creases especially around the corners. To add a moderate wear along the edges. Inside there is a magnificent booklet of eighteen pages (including the back of the two outer sides) with the tracklist and photos of all participants to the LP as well as some scenes from "8½", from"Ieri, oggi, domani", "Le Bambole", "I Tre Volti" and Catherine Spaak, please look at the photo n ° 7, 8, 9 and 10. The pages have no writing or tear but only a slight creasing on some corner, EX / vinyl has some surface signs that added to its not perfect original quality produces at the beginning of both sides a certain background noise in addition to some lights clicks as general rule, VG+

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : il produttore Dino De Laurentiis commissionò all'Editoriale Campi, proprietaria della casa discografica Cam, uno speciale album in cui partecipavano attori, musicisti, registi, scrittori, poeti e cantanti. Molti di loro avevano lavorato nei films dell’importante produttore di Torre Annunziata. Il fine era di offrire nell’imminenza del Natale come dono a personaggi importanti del mondo cinematografico un album pieno di voci assai famose che parlavano, cantavano, recitavano in varie lingue brevi pezzi tratti da films e non solo in un carosello sonoro multicolore senza interruzioni. Il regista Mario F. L. Russo fu incaricato a sua volta dalla Cam di organizzare nel migliore dei modi il contenuto per il long playing. A mio avviso, gli riuscì molto bene. I messaggi di auguri natalizi si alternano a canzoni, musiche e narrazioni in modo piacevolissimo. Difficile comunque per un amante del vero cinema non essere in qualche modo colpito da commozione, ascoltando le tantissime voci come ad esempio quelle di Ingrid Bergman, Marcello Mastroianni, Sophia Loren, Ava Gardner, Federico Fellini, Anouk Aimée, Michelangelo Antonioni, Anna Magnani, Vittorio Gassman e tante, tante altre ancora. La lista completa dei brani e dei suoi esecutori la potete leggere guardando le immagini n° 4, 5 e 6. Molti di loro adesso “dormono sulla collina” ma, detto senza alcuna retorica demagogia, la loro arte resta ancor più di prima viva.

Sebbene di brevissima durata segnalo volentieri la magnifica interpretazione di Silvano Mangano con “More” da “Mondo Cane” musicato da Ortolani,  Alberto Sordi che parla e canta “Roma nun fa la stupida stasera”, la graziosa voce di Catherine Spaak che accenna in Francese la tradizonale “Au marchais du palais” qui chiamata “A tender French popular song”. “I remember Christmas” cantata da Alida Chelli e Lilian Terry su ritmo jazz. Infine Nino Rota con il tema principale del film “La Strada” e le voci di Federico Fellini e Giulietta Masina.

Notes : producer Dino De Laurentiis commissioned  to the Campi Editions, owner of the record label Cam, a special album in which actors, musicians, directors, writers, poets and singers recited and/or performed short pieces from films and not only. Many of them had worked in the films of the important producer from Torre Annunziata. His aim was to offer as gift in the imminence of Christmas to important characters in the film world an album full of well-known voices which sang and recited in different languages throughout a multicolored sound carousel without pause. The director Mario F. L. Russo was assigned in turn by Cam to organize in the best possible way the content for the long playing. In my opinion, he succeeded very well. The Christmas wishes alternate with songs, music and narrations in pleasant way. However it’s hard for a true lover of the cinema not be in some way affected by emotion, listening to the many voices such as those of Ingrid Bergman, Marcello Mastroianni, Sophia Loren, Ava Gardner, Federico Fellini, Anouk Aimée, Michelangelo Antonioni, Anna Magnani, Vittorio Gassman and many, many more. Many of them now are sleeping on the hill, but said without any rhetoric demagoguery, their art is more than ever alive.
