Daptone has done a fantastic job of serving up authentic soul sounds that pay homage to the past but always bring something new. This time the US lab has put together a bumper collection that is made up of tunes from a live revue they hosted back in 2014. It has been done as part of the label's 20th anniversary and features label house bands, Menahan Street Band and The Budos Band. The show was performed and recorded over three nights in front of a sold out crowd at The World Famous Apollo Theatre in Harlem.
