Obscure promo-only record- released to celebrate the Surinam revolutionary government of the early 80s. Worth getting for two tracks by Jerry Themen (and his wife Martha Bruining on vocals) which sound remarkably similar to music from Madagascar, but with lyrics about Surinam's popular heroes (Anton de Kom & Louis Doedel) and great synth riffs. Other tracks on the comp are more traditional (kaseko/Hindi etc) and speeches by the leader of the revolution- Desi Bouterse (who's now the president of Surinam) Check it out!
