This Record is hard to find in any condition much less an AUTOGRAPHED copy!! - perhaps the ONLY one available and in rather HI-GRADE vinyl condition at that ! If you find another Autographed copy I will reduce the final price! What makes an autograph special by an artist that creates music with his hands, is that the signature is in itself a one-of-a-kind musical passage capturing the essence of the musician's FLUIDITY - in this case the legendary artist flows right across the foil round sticker, expressing his creativity and skill as he controlled the pressure so as not to tear into the surface of the sticker - what heroic control. It's not easy to get an autograph from a Living Legend. The cover still has the Stereophonic EMI Recording STICKER on cover (part of the Autograph goes on it). Research indicates that Vasiis Autographs are VERY hard to find. Were it not for the rank of the military person that once owned this copy, he may not have ever gotten it Autographed. It came from a great collection of International range collected during his active duty. Own perhaps the ONLY AUTOGRAPHED copy by this Acclaimed HERO of the music - A LEGEND.
Vassilis Tsitsanis (Greek: ??????? ????????? 18 January 1915 – 18 January 1984) was a Greek songwriter and bouzouki player. He became one of the leading Greek composers of his time and is widely regarded as one of the founders of modern Rebetika. Tsitsanis wrote more than 500 songs and is still remembered as an extraordinary bouzouki player.
Biography
Tsitsanis was born in Trikala. From a young age, Tsitsanis was interested in music and learnt to play the bouzouki, violin and the mandolin which were the mainstay of so many of his songs. In 1936 he left for Athens to study Law, and by 1937, had made his first musical recording.
In 1937 he moved to Thessaloniki, where he served his military service, and stayed there for about ten years, during the German occupation of Greece. There he became famous and wrote many of his best songs that were later recorded after the end of the War. By the shut-down of the record companies by the German occupation Forces in 1941, he had already recorded about 100 of his own songs and played on many recordings of other composers.
In 1946, Tsitsanis returned to Athens and began recording many of his own compositions that made famous many of the singers that worked with him, such as Sotiria Bellou (??????? ??????), Marika Ninou (?????? ?????) and Prodromos Tsaousakis (????????? ??????????).
Vassilis Tsitsanis was a close friend with Andreas Papandreou, Prime Minister of the country. Tsitsanis died at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London following a lung operation, on his sixty-ninth birthday. He was mourned across Greece, where his music is still enjoyed to this day and he is regarded as a legend of rebetiko music.

CONDITION: AUTOGRAPHED RARE Cover still has original EMI label sticker and is a gatefold cover with picture of artist. Has natural some wear, bends, natural yellowing/soiling (as often happens to white surfaces) and surface scratches) and a few surface scratches. I'd rate the vinyl as at least VG+ to EX as it shines as if freshly pressed - like a black mirror. Any spindle marks are so minimal one has to really search for them - the labels are sharp and vibrant. The vinyl only has paper scuffs/hairlines! and only a very limited number of them. A strong keeper vinyl and RARE AUTOGRAPHED copy!

I've posted multiple pics complete with ZOOM to offer forthright repreasentation of actual RARE AUTOGRAPHEd LP - thus as seen as is, which is pretty darm impressive considering the age and RARITY of an AUTOGRAPHED copy.
