Description
SETTLE IN FOR A LONG RUN OF COLLECTABLE LPs OF VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES!! This is a reasonably priced 1967 U.S. STEREO FIRST PRESSING WITH MOSTLY UNPEELED BANANA AND TORSO & FACE BACK COVER OF THE 1967 VERVE RECORDS debut LP titled The Velvet Underground & Nico' from pioneering New York City alternative art rockers The Velvet Underground. It is Verve Records catalog number V6-5008, gatefold cover, blue Verve Records labels. TheVelvet Underground on this LP is: Nico-vocals / John Cale-electric viola, piano, bass guitar / Sterling Morrison-rhythm & bass guitars / Lou Reed-lead & ostrich guitar, vocals / Moe Tucker-drums. Tracks: Sunday Morning, I'm Waiting For The Man, Femme Fatale, Venus In Furs, Run Run Run, All Tomorrow's Parties, Heroin, There She Goes Again, I'll Be Your Mirror, The Black Angel's Death Song, European Son. This historic and sought-after record could be in better condition - I have set a modest opening bid price to reflect the condition deficiencies, I will leave it to the bidders to determine its final value. Condition of record is VG-/VG with a fair amount of surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play, and with a very few light surface scratches which can barely be felt which may cause a few slight ticks, record is a thick vinyl deep groove pressing and should not skip. Condition of cover is no better than poor to G with just about every possible flaw, I have done a lot of work on this cover to make it as presentable as possible - Flaws include splits for the length of both top edges and the right hand 8" of one bottom edge (I have carefully and neatly repaired these splits by taping from the inside), stains from previously removed tape along three edges, a couple of pieces of clear tape which were applied by a previous owner, a few small spots where the top layer of paper is worn away, a few other small stains, a little writing on one inside gatefold, a good amount of contact and ring wear, and a good amount of wear along the edges and on the corners. This would be an economical way to add this historic and sought-after FIRST PRESS LP to your Velvet Underground or alternative music record collection! Winning bidder pays $3.00 media mail postage or actual priority mail postage within the U.S. I WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE - Uninsured first class international airmail postage to the UK or anyplace in Europe is $13.50 - Please e-mail me for postage rates to other areas outside the U.S. WINNING BIDDER PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH - IT PROBABLY WILL NOT GET HERE! I will give an immediate refund (less shipping) upon return of the LP if winning bidder is dissatisfied for any reason. Good luck!
