VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO 

S/T

Original US issue of this LP released in 1967. This is the impossible to find first version of the Andy Warhol designed sleeve with the infamous Torso photo on the back of the cover (airbrushed in later issues) and the "peel slowly and see" banana sticker on the front. Very rare even in less than perfect condition. The vinyl is also the most desirable version for this LP: Mono first pressing in incredibly good shape for its age. Etching in dead wax: V 5008 Side 1 MG 558 rev; V5008 Side 2 MG 559.
1" pressing ring and etchings indicate it is a very first East Coast (NJ plant) pressing. Includes the original standard Verve inner sleeve.

Sleeve: VG ( presents visible general wear a couple of partial splits and a punch hole; the banana is plit near the top but otherwise intact).
