Description

Original Mono LP.   This vintage hard-to-find vinyl LP is the original 1967 Mono pressing, first edition.   It has the classic Andy Warhol-designed gatefold cover with the banana on the front.   The top of the banana peel sticker has a tear across it.   The back cover has a large black sticker with the album title, covering the picture of the upside down torso of actor Eric Emerson.   The black sticker was placed on those first edition LP's that had not yet been delivered to stores when Emerson threatened to sue MGM for unauthorized use of his photo.   Complete with original VERVE inner sleeve. Cover is in decent shape for an LP that is 40+ years old.  Some splitting on top rear seam of cover.  Vinyl itself is very nice, with very light scuffs.  I am the original owner.  Bought the album in '67 because the cover was so "cool", but didn't much care for the music!   Hasn't been played for over four decades.   Winner pays $3.50 Media Mail shipping in the USA, $7.50 for Priority Mail.  Overseas bidders pay exact shipping cost.  Insurance included free.  Paypal only.   Must send payment within 10 days of notification.
