Description
You are bidding on the Velvet Underground and Nico's classic debut eponymously titled vinyl record. This is the first MONO pressing on the yellow PROMO Verve label, V-5008. This is the east coast pressing as evidenced by the yellow promo label and lack of deep groove (The west coast pressings had the deep groove).
The vinyl record has been play graded and visually graded. Visually it is VG/VG+. Some scuffing from removal from the inner sleeve and some scratches but not deep. The LP is play graded in VG+ as it sounds great, some background noise from the scuffs, and occasional pops from the scratches but not distracting. NO SKIPS! Enjoyable listen.
The cover is graded in VG+ condition. The seams are nice and clean. The only flaw being the split on the bottom part of the spine as seen in the pix, however it is not a full split. The banana is fully intact and not peeling anywhere. VERY RARE to find this. Otherwise some shelf wear which is common with this mostly white cover. The back photo has the highly coveted "torso" cover which is the Eric Emerson torso picture which was quickly removed due to a lawsuit involving the picture. As a result, the torso cover which it has become known as, has become a highly collectible item.
