Description
The Velvet Underground & Nico Label & Year: Verve SVLP 9184 LP ULTRA-RARE Stereo 1967 UK 1st Press! Original first-press laminated flipback cover (with Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. "patents pending"--plus original "patents applied for" on inner sleeve).
Matrixes: Side A: V6 5008 A-2 Side B: V6 5008 B-2 This album was purchased used in the mid-70's and comes from my personal collection.

CONDITION: Very Good (Record, Cover, and Inner Sleeve), based on general rating criteria below:
VERY GOOD or VG: this record is a record that is good enough. They are not really going to look very good, but it will STILL play very good. there will almost always be some surface noise when they are played. The Dynamics should still be excellent, overpowering the surface noise. A VG record will appear well, have been played, but still have some luster. VG covers will look worn, used. There may be some seam splitting . There will be some ringwear, where the ink has begun to wear off.
Specific condition details to note: Surface noise is present throughout both sides, and includes light crackles (depends on the song) and the occasional pop, but they do not overpower or substantially detract from the listening experience, in my opinion. Inner (paper) sleeve has 4.5" seam split on one side and one small (1/4") tear across top. Under bright lighting and held horizontally, one can see what looks like pencil lines/loops/scrawls on black Verve label (both sides). Front cover upper right corner has visible outline where price sticker once was (see photo). Laminated flipback cover has some lines/creases/fading/discoloration (few small brown spots)/ringwear/corner bumping - - but no seam splits!
