Description
Up for auction is a great example of The Velvet Underground's third album (MGM SE-4617). I'm the original owner and it's in excellent physical condition (the cardboard sleeve is perfect). It was my backup copy so, having been played just a few times, it sounds great! It has 1A/1B on the lead out grooves so I believe it's a first pressing. It also has a yellow MGM label (seen in the photos) that I've only seen a few times. Rare version? Maybe! I just want to put it in the hands of a collector who will appreciate it! Also, please look at my other LPs up now on eBay.
Because of its age though, it's being sold "as is" with a low opening bid and no reserve. An eBayer emailed that this is very likely a 2000 "reissue" of the original LP by the original label, MGM. The 1A/1B would still indicate an early pressing so the sound quality is excellent. If you bid and want to retract it, please do. If you're more interested in the sound quality this is still a great LP to bid on. Thanks!
