Description

INCREDIBLY Rare self released/self titled LP by Vernon Dower.  Did some research and only found one copy referenced on the Internet on Popsike.  Blank cover with a date "Recorded Dec. 1971" as the only wording on the cover.  The LP looks EX but plays with crackling & pops that I attribute to the pressing itself.  Looks rarely played, and in great shape.  Here's a blurb from the Popsike mentioning:

this is solo acoustic folk with guitar/harmonica. There's a great haunting cut called Butterfly Chase and another great one called Mao's Masses. Little One is yet another fine track, probably my fave. With lyrics like 'Tell me of your trip to the sun little one. tell me how it all begun...little one....little one..why did not your wings of wax melt in the sun why did you not tumble to the ground little one...little one..' Very dark feel for a song sung to his child. There are harmonica accents and Dower's in good form. He's a talented performer in my opinion and isn't in the amateur-real-people category but more of a skilled and honest folk soul. But it's very much an independent folk recording informed by the 60's moods and attitudes. There are 10 tracks total. I hope this helps. It's a one-of-a-kind record/cover.

Postage is calculated by Ebay. Media postage including tracking within the US.  I happily ship to my overseas friends using 1st class Int'l (which does NOT include tracking...if you want tracking you'll have to pony up for Priority, so let me know if that's what you want at the end of the auction).  Payment within 48 hours of auction end is preferred.  Thanks a lot for bidding on my auction!!! Definitely check out my other auctions...I've got some interesting stuff up right now!!!
