This week I am listing some of the rarest LP cover and label variations issued during Elvis’ career, most in incredible condition. Please check out my other listings.
This is a RARE ORIGINAL 1964 MONAURAL ISSUE OF THE SOUNDTRACK (White RCA logo with silver print), PRINTED WITHOUT THE CAST ON THE FRONT COVER.
The cover is VG-. The front cover slick still has a good shine to it and has LITTLE TO NO DISCOLORATION/RING WEAR. Therefore the overall look(s) to the front and back covers are very nice. The spine and bottom edge each suffer from chipping and overall wear; NO SEAM SPLITS. The detail of this cover of course is the ELUSIVE ISSUE WHICH EXCLUDES THE CAST PHOTO ON THE FRONT. This set comes complete with its original inner sleeve.
The disc is VG. The disc still has a nice gloss to it. There are a few light marks, the biggest found on Side 2. These imperfections, however, do not affect playback; NO DEEP SCRATCHES OR SKIPS. The labels are very nice and glossy; NO DISCOLORATION, RING WEAR, WRITING, OR STICKERS. There is a couple of light spindle marks on Side 2, but are hardly noticeable.
