Description
BIS 163/164. First made in Germany two LP GF STEREO pressing in NearMint. Another “masterpiece” from the creator of the legendary “La Folia” album. The Atrium Musicae was founded in 1964 in Madrid, with the intention of exploring and performing old music. In 1971, the group made its first appearance in the Metropolitan Museum of New York, where the success amongst the audience and the critics was so tremendous, that the group was immediately invited to reappear during three consecutive years – something unheard of in this center. Since then, the Atrium Musicae has given concerts in the USA, Canada, France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Czechoslovakia, Rumania, Bulgaria and Poland. The Atrium Musicae has participated in the Berlin Festival, The Festival de Paris (Sainte-Chapelle), the Festival of Flanders, The festivals of Provence and Normandie, the festivals of old music in Bydgoscz and Krakow (Poland) and at the Szene der Jugend festival at Salzburg. All instruments where used on this recording are authentic from the time (see the scan). Highly recommended DLP.
