This item is super hard to find, and I hate to part with it, but I'm getting up in age now, and this item needs a good home before I croak.

This is The Archies press kit, which was given mostly to radio and TV stations to promote the new 1968 Saturday morning TV show "The Archie Show", along with the musical group that would be featured on the show. 

The press kit features The Archies first LP, "The Archies", still in its shrink wrap.  The album has been played once.  It was still sealed when I obtained the kit.  I played it once to tape it.  It has not been played since.  I would list the album as being Near Mint in quality.  The Archies first single, "Bang-Shang-A-Lang" b/w "Truck Driver" with the accompanying picture sleeve is also included, and was played only once for recording purposes.  The picture sleeve and single both rate a VG++ to Near Mint in quality. 

The kit also includes an Archie Series comic book.  The comic books included in the kits were not all the same.  This particular kit includes a copy of "Jughead's Jokes" No. 7 from Sept. 1968. 

Also included are an "Everything's Archie" sticker and an "Everything's Archie" pinback button.  Both the button and the sticker contain the same graphics.  A balloon was also included that had the same graphics, but it shriveled up into an ugly mass and has been discarded. 

A black & White glossy photo of the Filmation team of Norm Prescott, Hal Sutherland and Lou Scheimer is included, as well as a photo of John Goldwater and Don Kirshner with cardboard cutouts of the Archies.  There is also a glossy of an Archies sales promo showing their first album and 8-track tape. 

Finally, there are 3 different issues of "Calendar Records News".  Calendar was the original record label of The Archies.  The name was later changed to Kirshner Records.  One of the news issues is about the release of the album.  The second is about the Archie characters and their new TV show, and the third is about Don Kirshner.

All of these items are housed in a thin cardboard flip-top box, much like a large album cover.  "Everything's Archie" is written on the outside of the cover.  Inside the cover is a large Archies graphic, the classic Dan DeCarlo artwork, along with the Calendar Records logo.  The back of the box is blank.  The box has seen better days and is splitting at the seams, but it has managed to keep the contents safe and intact for over 40 years now.

This item is for the serious Archie collector.  This press kit does not show up very often, and not all of the press kits listed contain the same items.

Return & Refund Policy: I will accept returns up to 14 days after the item has been received by the buyer, and will offer a refund. If the item was received damaged, the item MUST BE RETURNED to me before I will issue the refund. I have had occasions where a buyer wanted to keep the damaged item and still expected a refund. That does not work. All items must be returned before a refund will be issued. Also, all returns will be opened in the presence of a postal employee to witness the contents of the package.

International Shipping:  I have no problem shipping internationally.  I will ship anywhere.  But international bidders, please note... I only ship through the US Postal Service, and shipping internationally through them can be costly.  If the item is under four US pounds in weight, I will list two different shipping methods; USPS First Class International and USPS Priority Mail International.  The USPS First Class International shipping method is more economical, but it does have it's limitations.  For one thing, delivery time will usually take at least three weeks, no matter where you are located, even Canada or Mexico.  The further away you are from the USA, the longer it will take to arrive, sometimes several months.  Also, there is no tracking or insurance available for this method.  If you want the item faster, and with tracking capabilities available, you will need to choose USPS Priority Mail International as your shipping choice.  It is more expensive, but the benefits of this method outweighs the cost.  Any item that is over four US pounds in weight will have USPS Priority Mail International listed as the only shipping choice.
