Description
The Sabbath debut on the UK VERTIGO SWIRL label from September 1970 [6 month after first release]. Matrix -1/-1. Heavy set vinyl. 2nd press label with VERTIGO mentioned in corner . The vinyl comes housed in an original cover with the classic Ossie misspelling in the interior. 100% complete and 100% original.
Vinyl (Vg+) Has been well cared for and has only seen moderate use. Under close inspection there are a number of light marks, but nothing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, VERY GOOD+ level of playback. Yes, there will be a bit of light static crackle between tracks which is occasionally audible in some of the quieter sections, but by and large this is an excellent rendition of this now classic album. Apart from being the original version it's worth insisting on these early copies because they were made to a high standard. You just can't beat the audio reproduction on these copies - whether that's the thunderstorm at the start or the shredding guitar - original VERTIGO beats everything else period. What a debut!
Cover (Vg+) Still remains in great condition but there are signs of wear on spine. Front and back are still in good shape with no significant defects. There is some moderate edge wear apparent and a few light creases. But by and large it's retained its rigidity and is a very decent example of an early original cover.
