BBC 1970 Czecho -Slavakian 1984 LP Vinyl Limited Edition 500/500

Very rare album recorded at the BBC Paris Cinema Studio, Regent Street, London UK on February 8th 1970 by John Peel at his Sunday Show.

33 1/3 RPM LP Vinyl contains a paper insert with the labels for cut and paste onto album.  

A vintage rarity in an excellent condition very hard to findDavid Bowie & The Hype - We Were So Turned On; 1984; Daffy Discs. Recorded at the BBC Paris Cinema Studio, 02/05/1970, and broadcast, 02/08/1970, on the John Peel Sunday Show. This historic performance, is the first live show to feature Mick Ronson.The Hype has been credited with helping form the glam rock scene in the 1970s. THIS RECORDING IS A MUST HAVE FOR THE DEDICATED DAVID BOWIE COLLECTOR!!!


In February 1970, David Bowie required a more permanent band to back him for the promotion of his latest album, 'David Bowie.' John Cambridge was retained from the 'Space Oddity' recording session and Tony Visconti volunteered for Bass duty. Cambridge recommended his friend Mick Ronson as guitarist.

On February 5, 1970, on John Peel's The Sunday Show on BBC Radio 2 'Hype' make their first radio appearance, performing after a short Bowie solo spot, an embryonic 'Width of a Circle', followed by 'Janine', 'Wild eyed boy from Freecloud' 'Unwashed & Somewhat Slightly Dazed', 'Fill Your Heart', 'I'm Waiting for the Man' 'The Prettiest Star', 'Cygnet Committee' and 'Memory of a Free Festival.'
