Description
This is a VERY RARE legitimate original STEREO pressing of Introducing The Beatles on Vee-Jay. It passes all the tests for determining legitimacy and is assuredly a real copy.
This pressing variation (designated VJ 1062 (2).SR2C on the Eskimo.com database and price guide) is less common than other stereo copies in that "STEREO" is printed TWICE on the label.
The condition is G+ due to the many surface marks it has. Although the blemishes are many, they are in fact mostly light and no scratch is deep enough to cause a skip. This plays through flawlessly without one skip - the only problem is the scratchy audio. Despite the clicks, the music still plays back with plenty of clarity (that is, it doesn't sound like it's lost fidelity due to being worn out from excessive playing), so it could be said that without the crackle, it would be a very good copy.
The value of this record, according to the Eskimo price guide is $500 for an example in VG+ condition. As this record is G+ and does not include the picture sleeve, the price is considerably lower to compensate.
