Description
This is a VINTAGE RARE FIRST PRESSING OF "JAMES GANG RIDES AGAIN". On the initial pressing of "James Gang Rides Again" a 1:25 electric rendition of Maurice Ravel`s "Bolero" is interpolated into the song, "The Bomber". Ravel`s estate threatened suit against both The James Gang and ABC Records for its unauthorized use. As a result, the track was edited, and the "BOLERO" section was removed on future pressings of the album. The edited song`s running time on such pressings is 5:39. The first original track pressing runs 7:04 which this album has. The matrix numbers in the trail off are ABCS-711-A, on side A and ABCS-711-B Love From Jessica on side B. This alone is a pretty rare feature. The album is in Ex++ condition and plays great. There are only a couple of slight marks. This is a gatefold album cover and is in G++ condition. There is slight soiling on the cover. There is a separation at the crease on the back cover top edge approx. 2" long. There is a slight warp to the front cover from storage, which can be straightened out. Included is the original paper sleeve in very good condition with no tears, holes names or stains.
