DAVID BOWIE
SELF-TITLED VINYL LP
STEREO | DES 18003 | DERAM
Authentic 1967 Release still in original FACTORY SEAL!
This is not a re-issue!
This is the first album Bowie ever released. The album was issued earlier in the USA than it was in the UK. The one I have for sale is an authentic original first press US from 1967.
The album was released in both mono and stereo formats. The stereo issue is more rare than the mono and because it was only sold in small quantities, an authentic stereo first issue is very rare. Furthermore, many of the copies often have cut-out holes in the cover, or are at the very least open and used.
THE ONE I HAVE FOR SALE IS STILL IN ITS ORIGINAL 1967 FACTORY SEAL
AND HAS NO CUT-OUT HOLES!!

The album sleeve is still in its original factory plastic seal 52 years after its release. There is no damage whatever to the front or back cover, all four corners are sharp, and the album is perfectly flat. Air hole visible on front cover.
- No cut-out (drill) holes
- No scratches or scuffs on front or back cover

All four corners are still sharp. The only imperfection anywhere is very, very minor: If you look closely on the bottom right corner of the front cover (not visible from back) there is one little flaw that’s approximately 1.5mm (=0.06in) in size, but its only noticeable upon close scrutiny.
PLEASE REFERENCE PHOTOS FOR ACCURATE LOOK AT CONDITION
Please Note: I took care to photograph the album from multiple angles to provide you with the best true-to-life view of all of its corners and sides as well as the front and back covers, so please review them closely. I’m happy to answer any questions you might have and to provide additional photos upon request.
NOTES:
Track B2 on back cover is incorrectly listed as “Silly Boy Blues” when, in fact, it should be: “...Blue”.

LINER DE 16003/DES 18003
Bowie sometimes chose different musicians for the various tracks on this album, but throughout he used the three boys who so ardently believed in his talent that they have loyally supported him during the lean times. They are drummer John Eager, bassist Derek Fearnley and organist Derek Boyes.
“David’s keen sense of perception and unusual powers of observation enable him to view the world around him with the eye of an articulate eagle.” - Kenneth Pitt
“His line of vision is as straight and sharp as a laser beam. It cuts through hypocrisy, prejudice and can’t. It sees the bitterness of humanity, but rarely bitterly. It sees the humor in our failings, the pathos of our virtues. David writes and sings of what he sees to be the truth.” - Kenneth Pitt

ABOUT THE ALBUM:
A 19-year old David Bowie explodes on to the world stage in this — his first — recorded album in 1967. In his words and with his voice Bowie would go on to influence a generation and live on long after his death as an artist, an icon, and a music legend.

All of my albums come from the private collection of a 20+ year London Records Executive who worked for the label in New York City during the 60s, 70s, and into the early to mid-80s. My uncle and I inherited his entire record collection. Every LP we list comes exclusively out of that private collection.
