THE WHO Sell Out LP 1968 white label mono promo-only banded US Decca, w/ hype and sample stickers. This is the rarest version of this album with the commercials and revised track listing.
Selling the crown Jewel of my collection.
Unlike the commercial issue, the promo has the songs separated (banded for easy airplay) and in a slightly different order. This is a scarce mono copy on Decca DL 34505.
White label record is absolutely beautiful with only one mark on side 1. Although it appears as a scratch in the image, it is superficial and is not audible. No marks on side 2. I have tried to provide the best photos that I can. I am not a professional grader, so please use the photos to judge condition for yourself.
The record plays NM. I auditioned it once on my AR ES-1 table to confirm and it's been stored in a MOFI sleeve ever since.
Cover is a stock mono one with a small Sample Copy sticker on the back (missing from most copies that I've seen on eBay) and a hype sticker for I Can See For Miles on the front. It is in EX condition with no splits, and only some slight creasing in a couple of the corners. One corner has a "tag" of material and another you can see where there is a gap in the cover artwork from the factory maybe 1/8" max. Very faint ring wear on top and bottom ( more dirt than abrasion) Spine is excellent with only some slight wrinkles from the factory.

The closest other copy to this sold for $500 in far worse condition. This album is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if the reserve has not been met.
