This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER!
The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material.
By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!

*VACUUM CLEANED*
VG+.
 The vinyl remains shiny. The vinyl carries light marks to her, however after playing her through, I found very little background noise...What was there was mainly only evident on the run-ins and inbetween tracks-that is all! There are just a couple of light and very infrequent light pops to the audio-more evident on Revolution 9...However, nothing to detract from its richness.
 Wonderful deep, rich & clear sound reproduction.
Even the quieter side 4 played beautifully, with just some very light background crackle and light pops in the quieter sections, which disappeared very quickly on a couple of tracks.
CERTAINLY NO JUMPS OR STICKS
A simple joy to listen to.
Really, REALLY nice rich STEREO playback!


The labels:

 All four of the labels have the DARKER apple.
Just light spindle marks to each label, with minimal hole wear evident!
VERY DISPLAYABLE
"An EMI Recording" on just the one line, rather than split later onto 2 lines.
"Mfd in the U.K." to each of the labels.

It is the first run TOP loading with a great shine to her.
Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold without writing!!
The spine remains VERY strong and free from splits but is slightly rubbed to the top.
Has the printing of  Stereo to the back top right.

There is very little wear to this sleeve-as you can see in the detailed images provided. The corners have some slight rubbing and there are a couple of very small patches of discolouration....but we all have discoluration after more than 50 years on the shelf!
 ALL ORIGINAL and remains in a very strong, solid condition.

AGAIN, I AM BEING INCREDIBLY CRITICAL!!!

Very good and very, very strong Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold....Remains lovely and clean inside.

Some slight discolouration to the back of them, but nothing bad at all.
Corners remain sharp.

It is the ORIGINAL 1st printing of this poster. Lyrics printed to the back and kiss to the front and uncensored.
NO writing.
ALL IN ONE PIECE.
There are some small splits on the folds in a few very small areas, as well as some light foxing to the paper.
