This Lp was released on the 10th July 1964. The 45rpm was released in April and at that time the Beatles' film had yet to get a title and as the story goes, Ringo emerged from a long days work saying "It's been a hard day," then seeing it was already dark added " 's night." This was then announced to the press as the title on the 17th of April. Ringo may have seen this phrase before in Lennons book "Sad Michael."
Holding a number 1 postition for a huge 21 weeks, from July the 25th!!!
This is also the ONLY Beatles album to have every track written by Lennon/McCartney.

 Lovely heavy vinyl with a gorgeous sheen. There are light and fine marks to the vinyl which do not affect playback overtly.
The sound reproduction remains wonderfully rich and clear.
I have just listened to the whole album and had a blast! VERY occasional, minimal background noise...the album sounded great throughout!The run ins and outs are lovely and quiet..

Very little central hole wear and only very light spindle marks-noticeable only when angled towards the light.
They are the very 1st print labels of this album-with the chubby text.

 Outer text "The Parlophone Co. LTD" (ONLY 1st Press have this) it DOES have the "Sold in the uk.." text.

Would frame incredibly well.

 Solid, mid-sized mono in top right corner. Matte front cover...With just one tiny crescent of spidering!
It strangely does not appear to have a lamination-BUT is a correct period 1964 print!!! Very unusual.
WONDERFULLY CLEAN AND VIBRANT.
Just light discolouration to the back card from age-like me ;)
The corners remain wonderfully sharp.
NO WRITING
The Garrod and Lofthouse flipbacks are in wonderfully strong condition.
STRONG, UNCRUSHED & LEGIBLE spine.
NO rips or tears!!
Has "Patents pending" to back bottom right corner flipback.

She has certainly done her job in looking after the lovely slab of vinyl.
