This was the Beatles' second official release, following their hugely popular Please Please Me. This record was released on the 30th November 1963 and went to the number 1 position (knocking of their own Please Please Me lp) on the 7th of December. Staying at number 1 for 21 weeks! As a little note: they had already sold 250,000 copies before the release and so accepted a silver disc BEFORE release!

Super audio-I have just had the utter pleasure of listening to her all the way through and found very little background noise, with a clear audio, which was lovely and raw.
There are some visble, but light marks to the vinyl, but nothing to make the needle jump or skip.
 She keeps her all original sheen and is as flat today as the day she was born.
GORGEOUS heavy original vinyl.

GREAT RAW SOUND WHICH REMAINS CLEAN & CLEAR

There are light spindle marks , with some central hole wear-as can be seen in the detailed images provided..She looks to have been delicately touched up-which I could only see whn angled towards the light and looking for it.

"Really Gotta Hold On Me" listing for track 3, side 2.
These labels were quickly corrected and recalled, making this an increasingly rare copy.

There are some spidering areas to the front laminate-mainly near the opening, but remains lovely and clean.
The bottom right corner at the opening has a small split of 3.5cm to the seam-nothing terrible at all.
Small date to the back card, in the top left corner...It is the correct date: 1963!
Good strong, solid corners too.
A very nice EARLY example.

 It is the ORIGINAL FIRST PRINT "Use Emitex Inner" with the much rarer "PATENTS APPLIED FOR" statement in lovely clean condition.
NO SPLITS
Heavyweight paper.
It is the earliest version too as it carries the "PATENTS APPLIED FOR" statement to the bottom corner of one side.
The inner tracing-paper lining is no longer present.
You couldn't get any earlier and sits very well with this very early pressing.
