The SMMT Ep was released on the 8th of december 1967 but in the USA it was released 11 days earlier on LP!
It entered the UK charts on the 13th and stayed there for 12 weeks, rising to the No. 2 slot, being stopped by "Hello Goodbye" to reach the top slot.
Marketed as:
"A 32 page full colour book packed with exclusive pictures, a strip cartoon of the original story, plus the words to the songs in the show !"

This is a 1970's repressing of the more expensive 1st press STEREO version:

 Superb discs, with just some VERY light, visible marks, having very little affect on playback!
After giving her a gentle vacuum clean, I listened to her, all the way through, and am happy to report the audio was wonderfully clear throughout the four sides.
SHINY.
Deep bass kicks in on "Flying" :)
"KT" tax code stamped into each run-off groove.
SOUNDS MAGICAL!!!

The Labels:

Lovely and clean...Just a couple very faint spindle traces, visible only when angled towards the light, with equally incredibly light wear to the central hole.
TOP example.
"KT" tax codes to sides 1 & 3

The Cover:

Bright, excellently strong and UNCRUSHED spine. Only a minimal amount of rubbing to the top and b ottom of the spine.... With a small and faint crease to the top right corner-I am being very critical-That really is it!
Gorgeously strong Garrod and Lofthouse flipback inner....Really REALLY nice example.
NO  rips/tears or writing!

Superbly intact, with the all important BLUE lyric sheet, still attached by the original 3 staples.
NOT EVEN ANY RUST TO THE STAPLES-NOW HOW OFTEN DO YOU FIND THAT?!?
 No writing of any sort and still bright with colour and white pages standing out...Simply lovely!

The Inners:

 ORIGINAL WHITE INNERS...With just some light creasing to them and light discolouration due to age.
Certianly done their job by looking after the vinyl for alkl these years.
