This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER!
The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material.
By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!

SOLID SOUND REPRODUCTION-SHOWS THE QUALITY OF THE VINYL FROM BACK IN THE DAY!!
 After listening to her ALL THE WAY THROUGH, I found some occasional background noise, which I am sure would improve with just a gentle professional clean.

EX-. All four of the labels are extremely bright and clean with the DARKER apple.
There are only light spindle marks to each label, these can be seen when angling to the light....

NUMBERED: 0153083 It is an EARLY first run MONO, with TOP loading.

 Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold without tears, rips or writing!!
The spine remains strong and clear.
Superb cover-creamy white, with some tiny spidering fingers eminating from the seams and an outline of where these records have been housed for the last 46 years. There are a couple ofwrinkles to the top right and left corner of the laminate on the front and a small ding to the corner to the back...THAT REALLY IS IT!
LOVELY CONDITION

Does NOT have Stereo to the back top right.
GLORIOUS and clean on the inside of the gatefold.

Inners:  VG. Original BLACK inners. They are both well looked after.
One has some tearing to it and splits, but the other is in TOP condition, without rips or tears.
They have the die-cut corners to each.
THEY ARE ALL ORIGINAL-NOT REPRO!

They are EXCELLENT+ AND ORIGINAL.
They DON'T have any pin-holes around their edges...Which was quite typical for the Beatles fans to pin their beau's up on their bedroom wall.
Lovely and bright.

There are some small splits in the creases but NO pin holes.
