This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER!
The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material.
By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!

VG+. GORGEOUSLY shiny vinyl. The vinyl has a some faintly visible marks to her, BUT after playing her through, I found just a small amount background noise-more evident on side 4 around the Revolution 9 track.
With just a gentle professional clean she'll sound even better.

NOTHING TO MAKE HER JUMP OR SKIP

Wonderful deep & rich STEREO sound reproduction
Lovely and quiet for the fade in and out of Helter Skelter.
A joy to listen to, which would only improve with a professional clean....Really nice playback!
EACH RECORD IS AS FLAT AS THE DAY SHE WAS BORN.


The labels: VG+. All four of the labels are have the DARKER apple.
Only light spindle marks and light hole wear to each label.
There is a name to each label-as you can see in the images provided.

"Mfd in the U.K." to each of the labels.

"An EMI Recording" printed to each side BUT without the brackets!


The Cover: NUMBERED: 0388561 It is the first run TOP loading with a great shine to her.
Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold.
The spine remains strong, with just some small areas of lifting to the laminate...nothing to worry about at all.

Has the printing of Stereo to the back top right.

There is just two or three very small half crescents of spidering to the laminate, and a few light indentations...That really is it!

Light rubbing to the corners.

Very good and very strong Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold with equally strong and CLEAN flipbacks.
Just a little creamy in colour.
 Lovely and clean inside.

Inners: VG++. Original BLACK inners.
They are both all original with the die-cut corners and window to one side of each.
They each have minimal wear to them with a small amount of feathering near their openings and some small tears near the windows
NO SPLITS TO ANY OF THE SEAMS
VERY NICE INDEED


Pictures: NEAR MINT-! The 4 pictures are present (John, Paul, George & Ringo).
They have been kept in simply TOP condition!!
NO rips or tears
NO writing or pin holes.
Only a tiny little ding to the bottom left corners...really nothing to worry about at all.
WHITE BACKINGS TOO


Poster: VG-. It is the ORIGINAL 1st printing of this poster. Lyrics printed to the back and kiss to the front.
NO writing.
Has some wear to the creases of the fold-with some small splits to the edges along the creases and two small splits in the centre where the creases meet.
WOULD DISPLAY VERY WELL.
