Description
You are bidding on a very nice copy of Michael Rabin's Paganini Concerto No. 1 In D Major / Wieniawski Concerto No.2 In D Minor with the Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Sir Eugene Goossens. Vinyl is graded Very Good with only a few small scuffs, light scratches keeping from a NM grade. The outside cover is graded VG - due to two small splits at the opening and some spine flaking but otherwise in nice condition.
I played this record all the way through without any loud pops or tics and the record did not skip. The violin is crisp and clear and the recording has excellent dynamic range with light surface noise only audible during the quiet passages when only the violin is playing. A close inspection found that there is a small "blister" about 1 mm in diameter on the record on side 2 that can be felt with the fingernail. It did create a barely audible sound when played but not distracting to the listening experience. Nothing like the distracting loud tic or pop one would hear from a deep scratch. The price on this rare record has been adjusted accordingly.
