PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
Dave Grohl has never been shy about the event that forever changed the trajectory of his life. The fates lured him to the Cubby Bear here in Chicago one night in his youth to see this band and the ride back to his home in Virginia proved to be the dividing line in his life. Now it was B.N.R. (Before Naked Raygun) and A.N.R. (you get the picture). The single most underrated punk band in the world, in this collector's not-so-humble opinion. Punk legends within the city limits but to the rest of the world a mostly undiscovered gem. Good thing Dave saw 'em. Imagine no Nirvana. No Foo Fighters. You NEED this LP. Pressed in France at MPO, the legendary George Peckham (Atlantic's lacquer cutter for Zep, AC/DC, etc.) mastered this LP. Steve Albini even had a hand in the cover art, coincidentally. This is a RARE first pressing on Homestead from 1986 with the original die-cut printed inner sleeve that has been SIGNED by all four members and dedicated to Cynthia!!! This is the LP that first saw the lineup that defined the band. The LP is VG++ with a few barely visible paper scuffs. Cover is VG+/VG++ with a hint of wear at the opening. You will not be disappointed. Even includes the original Reckless Records receipt from when I bought this rarity on November 14th, 2009 (along with a Cramps and Can LP)!!! Near impossible to find in this condition and good luck finding one signed by all four members. Once everyone reads Dave's recent book, word is going to get around about these punk legends so don't sleep. Wait and be sorry.
