This Lp was released on the 3rd of December 1965 and stayed at the number 1 position for a total of 9 weeks from Christmas that year....What a pressie to unwrap!

QUALITY 160g VINYL

It is the much RARER LOUD CUT version which was pulled shortly after it's release in 1965, which are now becoming increasingly difficult to find in any condition.

There are many light marks to the vinyl., as well as a small dimple in the middle of the 1st track which registers on both sides. I found, using a medium light stylus setting, this dimple created a ‘whoop’ on revolution but no jumps on side 1and no jumps on side 2 either-BUT this is dependant on finding the correct light setting. I tried with a slightly heavier setting and she skipped multiple times.

I have included a clip of the side 2, track 1, which I found as the most affected track-as you can hear and see...NO SKIPS if you get the setting correct.

So this is one for the patient collector, who is willing to change their settings on their arm-and you are then rewarded with a lovely clean and clear audio throughout the rest of the album. With negligible soft background crackle in the lighter sections, but nothing offensive what-so-ever.

After giving her a gentle ultrasonic clean, followed by a gentle vacuum clean I played her all the way through I found just RAW, clear sound!

Lovely quality weight.

SHE SOUNDS LOUD!

I was INCREDIBLY happy with the audio reproduction. She has minimal and only very occasional light background noise-Nothing particularly noticeable at all.

Also noticed the utter clarity of Lennons voice on Girl...Really nice.

It is the much rarer Ernest J Day cover (made at an approx ratio of 1:10 in respect to their more common Garrod & Lofthouse counterparts).

VERY strong clear and clean spine.

Strong corners, but with a minimal rubbing or storage wear.

Ernest J Day flipbacks in GREAT condition.

I can see a number of small crescents of spidering to the front laminate-mainly near the opening. With some small fingers of spidering emanating from the seams....Nothing terrible at all. The back card has only very light discolouration through age.

NO WRITING.

NO RIPS, TEARS or SPLITS.

It is the all ORIGINAL "USE EMITEX" MADE IN ENGLAND with the tracing paper-lining.

In great condition too..Just some discolouration to the paper, barely even any creases.
