Led Zeppelin 2 RL Pitman 1969 First Pressing

Sadly selling my personal copy as I have bills to pay! This will be your final copy of this iconic record. The magic of the RL mix is fully evident in these grooves. The soundstage is incredible and will blow you away on a high quality set up.

I have a VPI HW16 and this LP has been cleaned over the years to remove dust when necessary and will arrive turntable ready. Vinyl has been stored in an audiophile sleeve with original sleeve stored alongside.

I have played this copy around 20 times over the years since I was lucky enough to find one in the wild. I also have a first UK press and a current reissue. I was able to A/B all three copies and it is the only way to justify the demand for this particular copy. As long as LZ remains popular, this record will hold its value and legendary status. The sound of the Ludwig mix makes the whole listening experience another level. I will miss it.

All obvious visual marks have been captured in the photos. However they have zero audible affects in playback.

I have included a play-grade of both sides below. These are the only sonic items of note:

Some light popping at the quiet part at “YOU NEEED IT”

What is and what should never be

Very light popping at intro

Very light popping during vocal only passages at beginning of song.

Very light popping during Bonzo’s drum solo in the lighter passages of “Moby Dick” and at the very beginning of “Bring it on Home”

other than some light noise mentioned above this pressing plays loud and clean.
