Description

VG+ Mono pressing of Soul Battle, the fantastic 1960 jam session with greats Oliver Nelson, Jimmy Forrest, and King Curtis. This is the hard to find mono edition. Prestige PRLP 7223 with yellow and black deep groove labels with appropriate Bergenfield address. “VAN GELDER” stamped into dead wax.


Cover is low VG+ due to nice original gloss but with foxing and dirt, especially on back cover. No seam wear. The paper at the top of the rear sleeve has some tearing. Original inspection stamps on back. Name of previous owner written (backward) on front.


Vinyl is VG+ with lovely gloss. Smudges and scratch marks are cosmetic only and have no effect on play. Yellow and black deep groove labels. Great RVG sound.
