PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER).  OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.


Incredibly hard to find cult acid folk gem of an LP that brings a CSN&Y vibe and injects a more sadly realistic and melancholy element that stood in stark contrast to the youthful optimism of bespoke foursome and their Laurel Canyon peers that dominated the airwaves at the time.  The cult of Big Lost Rainbow's ranks continue to swell thanks to a long overdue reissue on Akarma that exposed them to a far younger and larger audience than in their heyday.  These original pressings have dramatically increased in demand as a result and will continue to as the word gets out.  Privately pressed in 1973, original pressings are very rare but copies with the original lyric sheet inserts are near impossible to find.  LP side 1 is a gorgeous VG++/NM- with 2 tiny surface marks and side 2 is a stunning near mint minus.  Cover is VG with no splits and a 6" paper seam on the spine.


I USE GOLDMINE GRADING:   MINT (SEALED) NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++:  VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE VG+:  AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG:  STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR:  FILLER COPY ONLY.  LOTS OF SCRATCHES
