Now onto the item for sale.

For sale is a 4 LP box set of Johann Sebastian Bach Matthaus-Passion conducted by Peter Schreier. This Phillips Digital Classics boxed set was pressed/made in Holland, the Netherlands in 1985. The record number is 412-527-1 and there is also an album sized 36 page book about this composition, but it is written in Dutch.

These four albums are absolutely outstanding. The vinyl on all eight sides is immaculate and you will not find a better condition set elsewhere. We looked over all the vinyl closely and didn't even see so much as a smudge, much less a scratch. The labels and center holes are as gorgeous as the jet black glossy vinyl.

The book, hinged box and four album sleeves are all in very nice condition with hardly any wear to speak of and no damage to any of the pieces.

We rarely say anything is mint, especially when it comes to albums. An album isn't like a piece of art, pottery, or a dish. An album's condition is largely based on how well it plays. Scratches, or just normal wear, can really reduce the grade. Even with these four albums, we will refrain from saying all eight sides are mint, but we will stand by them being as close to mint as you will find. You will likely call them mint, but we'll leave that up to you.
