Description
I have up for auction a Moriz Rosenthal Album Set of 4 records(Long playing 12" 78s) on the Victor Red Seal Record label and some rare collectibles. The Set is M-338 by Rosenthal, Piano Solos, and is Frederic Chopin Nocturnes, Mazurkas, Waltzes, Preludes and Chant Polonaise. Wonderful Piano Solos on the 8 sides. The records are in excellent condition and look almost new. Hardly any wear and scuffs or scratches are very few(if any), light and surface variety. Surfaces still very shiny and clean. Cover and inside sleeves in very good condition as well and even has the original 5 page typed paper booklet with it!
In addition, inside the Set was contained some incredible collectibles hand written by Rosenthal. There are three letters written to a lady and signed by him. They are on Hotel paper from the early 1900s era. Two are on Hotel Majestic paper(New York City) and one on Hotel Astor(NYC), with neat little pictures of the old hotels on top left(see pictures). Dates range from 1906 to 1926 and two are written in German, one in English. Also, there is a most impressive laminated photograph(or postcard) of Rosenthal done by The London Stereoscopic Company(photographer of that time)-this one written on and signed by him(year says 1900)(see picture, also). There are other great newspaper clips and concert clips attached inside.
I might have separately listed some of this, but wanted to keep everything together as one group of items, just as it came to me. An absolutely wonderful group of Rosenthal collectibles!
