Description
VICTOR BLACK LABEL 61117- MESSE SOLENNE (Rossini)- Crucifixus sung by Alessandro Moreschi, male soprano.
Condition- '2'
Alessandro Moreschi (1858-1922) was the last of a line of castrati at the Sisdtine Chapel in Rome. This is from the second session of recordings made by G&T in the Vatican and issued by Victor in 1904. Most of these Sistine Chapel recordings are important rarities and this offers an excellent sample of his voice and technique.
This is one of a selection of items being sold from my personal collection.
