[THIS WEEK, I’m offering several records out of a MINT DEALER’S STOCK of early ("Patents" and "Bat Wing") Victors. I just unearthed them in the course of my search for goodies for you. All are clean as can be, in their original dealer’s sleeves, untouched for decades. Some show signs of minor use, as if they were demos in the store. Others are pristine!]
Here's ARTHUR PRYOR'S BAND, no slouches they, giving a grand account of Victor Herbert's patriotic pastiche, "AMERICAN FANTASIE." This piece has it all - "Yankee Doodle," "The Girl I left Behind Me," "Dixie," "The Star Spangled Banner," et cetera. Herbert and Pryor, like George M. Cohan, make patriotism seem actually HIP.
This beautiful, single-sided, 1909 "Patents" label Victor 31504 is in impossible E++ condition. It comes in its original dealer's stock sleeve.

These records come from my private collection, which I have been accumulating since 1967, and now am downsizing! My highest priority in these eBay auctions is to give you the best possible idea of a record’s true condition and aesthetic value. I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all. If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will! Shipping is done with expert care. Your record will brave Media Mail in a stout corregated box, between four sheets of cardboard and a couple of “packers.” I hope you are amused by these descriptions, and by the quality of service being offered.
