MEGARARE original Hispavox Records very first MONO press released in Chile in 196? by Hispavox Records, made and distributed by Asociación Fonográfica Nacional “ASFONA” M.R. (ASFONA Records), licensed by Hispavox Argentina (“COMAR” in labels), with catalog number 12-188, with hand etched matrix numbers 12188-A EB-CD in Side 1 and 12188-B EB-CD in Side 2, with yellow/black Hispavox Records labels. Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

“JOTAS DE ESPAÑA” doesn’t really have a clear year of release, it’s not informed in labels or cover, but we got it here in Chile in 196? with an UNIQUE COVER made of a single piece of thin cardboard folded in the middle faking a gatefold cover with 2 single sheets of paper partially attached to the cardboard for front and back covers, kept together for a plastic bag. The most interesting fact about this RARE record is the totally different artwork, with a very nice drawing of a couple dancing above the album title. Back cover is totally different with album title, tracklist and all the text written only in Spanish, with a brief review about the dance “JOTA” and about the career of Victorino Echevarria. In labels the tracklist and album title are, of course, in Spanish only with full credits for songwriters. The labels have a subtitle, “JOTAS CELEBRES” in Side 1 and “JOTAS POPULARES” in Side 2. So, here you have the chance to get and own a very interesting and MEGARARE press of this already RARE and HARD TO FIND album with a nice selection of Jota songs directed by the great Spanish musician Victorino Echevarria, performed by the Orquesta De Conciertos De Madrid, Rondalla Popular De Madrid, with chorus Coro Cantores De Madrid, directed by José Pereira, with trumpet solo by Tomás Palomino. WOW!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great EX or EX+ condition, no missing parts, no writings, no creases, no blemishes, no ring marks, some minimal wear in the edges and corners and some light age browning, more evident in back cover. The record is in EX+ or NM- condition both sides, glossy and clean, with only minimal scuffs, which don’t affect play, no scratches at all. Labels on both sides are in great NM or NM+ condition, clean and clear, with only minimal spindle hole wear. The sound is in great EX- or EX condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), only very minimal occasional crackles here and there, more evident in the song “Viva Navarra!” in Side 1 and “Los Sanfermines Cantan” in Side 2, which of course don’t cause major distraction from the experience to listen this album. Overall it’s still a great record with a very nice and clean glossy look, with immaculate labels and still an amazing sound quality. And this is the chance to get it with an UNIQUE COVER, maybe the more beautiful artwork possible to find for this album!!! Yes Sirs, what a FIND!!! Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

PAYMENT

PayPal (send me a message if you offer some other way to pay that we can accept)

Payment must be received within the first 7 seven days after the auction is ended.

If you pay via PayPal and PayPal holds the money (with status “Completed – Funds Not Yet Available” in my PayPal account), I will consider the items paid when funds are available in my PayPal account (this could happen after 21 days buyer paid in accord to PayPal policies). If you don’t want to take the risk to have to wait those 21 days please wait for my invoice and instructions.

SHIPPING (Packing and Postage)

We have an unique value worldwide:

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP7 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

In the case PayPal informs me the funds are “PENDING” in my account, the record will be shipped immediately after PayPal releases the payment and funds are available. Please, remember that in my auctions the buyer pays for shipping and if the money isn’t available in my PayPal account I can’t ship the records. I know this could be an inconvenient, but I hope you can understand that PayPal places on hold the money, not me.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.

In the case PayPal has placed on hold the payment, feedback will be left when buyer has received the record and expressed his/her satisfaction with a possitive feedback.

Buyers pay for shipping in my auctions, so it’s obvious that if money is placed on hold the seller (me) won’t have that money available to ship the items. What kind of help is that? Buyers deserve respect and I don’t see how to place on hold the payments will help to “maintain successful transactions”… My buyers and me don’t need that kind of help!!! The comments I get prove the quality of the records I sell and the satisfaction of my buyers with the service I give. I hope you can understand that I try to give all the satisfaction possible and records are sent when payments are available in my PayPal account but if PayPal decides to place on hold your payment and the money you pay for shipping, then it’s PayPal the responsible for the extra delay of 21 days, NOT ME.
