IN CASE ANY OF YOU WHO HAVE BEEN BIDDING IN MY RECENT REGGAE LP AUCTIONS HAVE AN INTEREST IN OTHER CARRIBEAN MUSIC, I HAVE DECIDED TO OFFER SOME VARIOUS CALYPSO, STEEL DRUM, AND AFRICAN MUSIC LPS FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS. This is an original 1966 Jamaica press Studio 1 One label LP titled 'Carribean Memories', featuring twelve steel drum tracks from the Vince Federal Steel Band. Studio One catalog number 101 appears on the front album cover, there is no catalog number shown on the record labels. See the accompanying images for more information, please e-mail me if you need matrix numbers. Album was produced by Coxsone Dodd, no personnel are listed on the album cover or the record labels. Tracks: Congo Man, Sound Of Music, Do Re Me, Sunset Jump Up, Our Day Will Come, Linstead Market, This Carnival Day, Patsy, And I Love Her, My Pussin, Federal Duke, Man In The Street. Visual condition of record is a mid VG+ with some surface marks and surface scuffs which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Record plays though nicely with some surface noise. Labels have the name of a previous owner written in blue ballpoint and some spindle marks, no other real problems. Condition of cover is a mid to high VG+ with a couple of slight wrinkles, a little general contact wear, and some general wear along the edges and on the corners. A choice vintage addition to any Studio One or Carribean music record collection!
