Description
This is the Vince Federal Steel Band LP entitled "Caribbean Memories". It was made in Jamaica and released sometime in the 1960's by the record label "No.1 Studio 101" better known as Studio One. This release contains 12 tracks. The producer was C.S. Dodd and it was recorded at the Jamaica Recording Studio in Kingston, Jamaica. An extremely difficult Steel Band / Calypso LP to find these days.
The vinyl itself I'd say is an EX- in condition. I tested it and the play and sound were absolutely excellent! On close inspection under a bright light , there were some very small, light surface marks on the vinyl, however this did not seem to affect the play. The record jacket is in excellent shape. On the front of the jacket, there was a name written. The LP itself comes within an inner sleeve. (I used http://www.moremusic.co.uk/grade.htm as a guideline for grading)
Songs on this release include:
Side1:
Congo Man, Sound of Music, Do Re Me, Sunjet Jump Up, Our Day Will Come, Linstead Market
Side 2:
This Carnival Day, Patsy, And I love Her, My Pussin, Federal Duke, Man In The Street
If you collect Steel Band/Pan music, this Vince Federal Steel Band record will make a great addition to your collection!
