Description
This is a vintage 1970 vinyl Stereo LP album entitled " Hello, I'm Johnny Cash " Columbia (KCS 9943). This first pressing is on the Columbia 360 Sound two-eye label. The acclaimed award winning LP has twelve (12) tracks in all including the duet with wife June Carter Cash " If I Were a Carpenter " for which the they won the 1971 Grammy Award for " Best County Performance By a Duet or Group with Vocal ". The LP tracks include " To Beat The Devil ", the first Kris Kristofferson penned song recorded by Johnny Cash. We consider this album to be in COLLECTOR CONDITION (see condition notes below)
CONDITION of VINYL: The vinyl is simply in pristine condition without signs of past play or handling. A complete test play resulted in excellent playback without issue. We rate the condition of the vinyl as a solid Near Mint (NM) under Goldmine guidelines. Included is the original inner sleeve with a color photo of Johnny on one side with promoting a send-in offer for a poster with the offer expiring on December 31, 1970.
CONDITION of JACKET: The outer gatefold design jacket is very clean with some very light sing of past handling and storage. Namely, very light signs of ring wear of front and back covers and light corner softening. The inner gatefold is very clean without defect. We rate this outer jacket condition to be Excellent Plus (EX+) using Goldmine guidelines. A new poly slip-on outer sleeve is included to help preserve this 48 year-ol LP for many years to come !
The vinyl within the inner sleeve will be separated from outer jacket. A heavy duty LP record mailer will be used with inserts and ample bubble wrap. Never a packing charge.
