Description
ALBUM DESCRIPTION: This is a vintage 1967 stereo vinyl LP by Brazilian jazz musician Antonio Carlos Jobim entitled " Wave " A&M Records (SP-3002). The album was arranged and conducted by Claus Ogerman. The album was recorded at Van Gelder Studios (Rudy Van Gelder, Engineer) on May 22, 23, 24 and June 15, 1967. The gatefold jacket features an inner gatefold with separate liner notes by Norman Gimbel and George Frazier IV on page 1. Page 2 provides all musician credits and the ten (10) track listings. The album was produced by Creed Taylor.
VINYL CONDITION: The shiny vinyl appears to have had little, if any, past play or handling. We have fully test played each side and received excellent playback all the way through. We rate the vinyl's condition as Near Mint (NM) under Goldmine standards. The original A&M Records inner sleeve is included and depicts 18 A&M LPs of the day including " Wave " (there is a untaped 1" slit at center of the inner sleeve bottom edge.
JACKET CONDITION: The outer jacket is of gatefold design with the cover featuring the giraffe running on a Brazilian beach with the red background. The front cover and back cover is very clean with some very light signs of past storage. The upper rear cover has some blemishes where possibly some past stickers were once removed. Also along the back edge where the record is inserted some apparent laminate is peeling in places. The inner gatefold 2 pages are immaculate in shape. Th spine is full legible and there are no seam splits on this outer jacket. We rate the jacket condition as Very Good Plus (VG+) using Goldmine guidelines. A new poly slip-on outer sleeve is included to help preserve this 52 year-old LP gem for many years to come !
The vinyl within the inner sleeve will be separated from outer jacket in shipment. A heavy duty LP record mailer will be used with inserts and ample bubble wrap. Never a packing charge.
