Artist History:

Haim Eliezer Harshtik was born in 1949 in Salgotarian, Hungary, and at the age of two immigrated to Israel with his family. Haim Eliezer Harshtik is connected to cantors in the Hungarian version and to cantors such as Yehoshua Vider, Moshe Price, and the veteran cantor Moshe Kraus, the Hungarian version and their pedantry is also expressed in poetry. Already from the age of 4 he was on stage, when his father was the cantor in Bnei Brak, where there were many cantor enthusiasts, little Haim Eliezer stood on a chair next to the box and sang solo pieces such as Yosle's "Kabarat Rua" 

His brother Naftali, who is two years older than him, was also a child prodigy, and when his father would teach him, Haim Eliezer would pick up on the process. From the age of 7 he performed in concerts by his father's side, and then he already performed cantor pieces with complicated coloraturas. Over the years, the boy had a legendary singing prodigy. When his father was a cantor in the Great Synagogue in North Tel Aviv and living at a Bar Mitzvah age, he performed "Wampani Hataino" on Passover. In the audience was the legendary cantor Moshe Kosowitzki who cried with excitement immediately after that he went on a concert tour in Canada and the USA

At the age of 19, he was already a regular cantor in Herzliya, and then the main cantor at the Great Synagogue in Tel Aviv. He moved to Ramat Gan, and from there to the "Oxford" Synagogue in Johannesburg, for five years. After a few more stops, he returned to Israel and was a cantor at "Hichal Meir" in Tel Aviv for many years, and after that, he prayed on holidays in a synagogue in Neve Avivim for 13 years. As a child he released six records, as a cantor he released two CDs, he often appears in various concerts and shows and under his hand quite a few child prodigies in cantorship grew up.
