Description
Here's EVA TAYLOR with CLARENCE WILLIAMS' BLUE FIVE, crossing over into the "pop" field, with "(There's a Blue Ridge in My Heart) VIRGINIA" and "WHEN THE RED RED ROBIN COMES BOB-BOB-BOBBIN' ALONG," two immensely popular songs from 1926.
The Blue Five play no less torridly for being on the "pop" series; they include CHARLIE IRVIS (trombone) and a very hot, though unidentified, cornet and clarinet.
Original 1926 "TrueTone" OKeh 40671 is in quite nice V+ condition, with very even wear and not much damage.
(n.b. Note the tiny raindrops on this record. It was starting to come down when I took these pictures! Neither storm nor snow nor gloom of night can keep this eBayer from his appointed rounds! Don't worry. Record's dry now!)
