VIRGINIA TREE
FRESH OUT.

This is the rare  UNPLAYED vinyl LP, Fresh Out  by Virginia Tree (Shirley Kent)
A fantastic original signed letter WRITTEN  and  HAND SIGNED sleeve by Shirley Kent.
This is a UNIQUE item and will NEVER be offered again!
from one of the most collectible artists of the late 60s

Virginia Tree (Shirley Kent) was a solo venture featuring members of her previous band THE GHOST.
THE GHOST was formed by singer/guitarist Paul Eastment (formerly of Velvett Fogg)
in Birmingham during 1969. Drummer Charlie Grima was formerly with the Wellington Kitch
Jump Band. The original name for the band was "Holy Ghost" but was soon shortened in order
to avoid negative publicity. Singer/songwriter Shirley Kent joined the line up and they
started recording an album in 1969 with a single being released from it entitled
When You're Dead. The single and the resulting album that came out in early 1970
on the Gemini Records label. The Ghost have an amazing sound that blows similar
acts like The Doors away. Quality progressive rock, with a very strong folk
influence that was probably due to Shirley Kent's involvement. A second Ghost
single was released later in 1970 but Shirley Kent left the group soon after to
start a solo career. The remaining members continued after changing the band's
name to Resurrection but later split up with no further recordings being released.
Charlie Grima went on to join Roy Wood's chart-topping group Wizzard
and later embarked on an acting career. Former Ghost members Paul Eastment and
Terry Guy also appeared on Shirley Kent's solo album that was released in 1975.
 Danny MacGuire died in 1998.

This LP is in MINT CONDITION. This is the rare
MINSTREL Records release - 0001 RELEASED IN 1975.

Also included is a letter written and signed by Shirley dated 15.9.75 (just over 40 years ago).

The letter was written to Fred Norris (google Fred Norris Birmingham Mail) who was the papers arts critic
for over 50 years and only died just recently. I bought his entire record collection, mainly jazz, and this LP
was in that collection. He was sent promo copies by various record companies to review and Shirley
took the trouble to send him this copy as well as the photograph of herself, and asks if he will do a write-up in the
Birmingham Mail.

I believe this to be an unpublished photograph, I have searched the web and cannot find this
 particular image anywhere!

So there you have it -- A rare record in MINT unplayed condition, an unpublished photograph of Shirley
AND a hand written letter signed by Shirley,

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own this piece of memorabilia.

DON'T MISS OUT! on this UNIQUE collection.
