Very rare German original issue of Virus debut album a total progressive hardrock masterpiece on Pilz label. Here are some notes about the band from progarchives:


Virus were a psychedelic band originating from Bielefeld in Northern Germany. Their music incorporates Pink Floyd's space rock, heavy keyboards somewhat reminiscent of Deep Purple all put together into long songs filled with jams. They released only two albums -- "Revelation" (1970) and "Thoughts" (1971). The album was recorded in Star Studios, Hamburg and produced by Konrad Plank. The Virus lineup for the first album is: Werner Monka (guitar), Jorg-Dieter Krahe (organ), Bernd "Molle" Hohmann (vocals, flute), Reinhold Spiegelfeld (bass) and Wolfgang Rieke (drums).

CONDITIONS: m-/vg+ from strict Record Collector grading (cover graded first) First of all please note that all of these kraut/progressive rock rare and expensive albums are STRICTLY graded, i.e. my ex- is still absolutely enjoyable and my ex or ex+ could be what other people call MINT- This one has a wonderful, close to mint- cover, perfectly square, perfect spine, really nice one. Inner sleeve is a plain white one. Disc is a shiny and clean full ex+, with just very minor age shadows and wear. You can experiment some minimal background noise on quieter parts, especially in between each song.  Unfortunatlely vinyl has a small mark at the beginning of the B side, about 8mm long, it causes some clicks for about 55 seconds, nothing so terrible but I must consider it as a defect and therefore I lower my grading to vg+ (and of course price is one half of what it would fetch a stone mint copy) And please remember Pilz pressing were not the best in the world on their own.

To Europe: $ 18 To Americas and Japan and basically elsewhere (except maybe Oceania) $ 25. Please note that, of course, shipping cost is not $ 4 as eBay forces me to state. Please note that I cannot send unregistered because I must be able to prove Paypal the actual mailing if required!

Disponibili ovviamente pacco ordinario a € 7,00 oppure paccocelere 3 (consegna in tre giorni) a € 10,00. Dischi a 45 giri possono anche essere inviati come lettera raccomandata ma il risparmio sul costo non è significativo.
