SABATO SERA DALLE 9 ALLE 10 / IL GIORNO DEL KARATE' ... 7-inch, 45rpm OST promo single by VITO TOMMASO E LA SUA ORCHESTRA. Original Italian pressing on the RCA label (TPBO 1001), from 1974. Desirable and very obscure OST funk and lounge by the cult arranger behind Peppino De Luca's La Ragazza Con La Pistola Soundtrack. This promotional-only single by Tommaso is one of the most elusive releases of the Poliziotteschi / euro blaxploitation / Italian cop thriller genre. Mood music from a long forgotten Rai television programme. The IL GIORNO DEL KARATE side is an infectious groove containing super-tuff beats and basslines / funky congas / flute / cuica / sleazy wah wah / hammond / fender rhodes / synthesizers and jazzy horn section. The track is a suite in 2 phases and it is the long 1st phase that has all the funk. Great for DJs. Comped on Ambiente Elegante for the Studio Uno label. The SABATO SERA DALLE 9 ALLE 10 side is playful jazzy lounge with waltz rhythms and a hint of the stylish Berto Pisano influenced sound of the period. Our soundclip has been edited down on the first side to record the funky 1st phase of IL GIORNO DEL KARATE' only. Very rare OST 45!!!

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition (closer to M-) with some light hairlines. The picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition overall with ring creasing and light wear from storage. Small split to middle top seam. Very rare OST 45!!!
