RECORD GRADES:

The disc (vinyl or shellac) and record jacket or sleeve are graded separately.  We always grade our records conservatively. 

All items are photographed and described to the best of our ability.  We encourage you to contact us with any questions PRIOR to submitting your bid.

Here's a quick summary of various grades that may be assigned to these records, as well as some quick abbreviations you may see.  

• SS  STILL SEALED
  • Record / jacket is still in the factory applied shrink wrap.  Disc is assumed to be undamaged and in mint condition.
    
• M    MINT
  • Record has zero flaws, defects, scratches or scuff marks.  (Remember, just taking the record out of the sleeve can cause scuff marks to the vinyl.)  Jacket has no corner dings, marks, tears or other flaws.  Cover should appear as if the record has never been inside.
    
• NM NEAR MINT 
  • Record is virtually flawless, bright and shiny.  Label is bright and clean with no markings.  Might have some light scuff marks, but no scratches.  Jacket has very minor signs of wear or cover impressions.  Artwork is close to perfect.  These records have most likely been owned by a collector since new.
    
•  E / VG++  EXCELLENT / VERY GOOD ++
  • Record plays near perfect.  May have minor paper scuffs or minor hairline scratches but nothing overly obvious.  Record is bright and shiny, label is clean and unmarked.  Jacket is clean with no seam splits.  May have minor impressions or slight corner dings.
    
• VG+  VERY GOOD PLUS
  • Record has some visible scuffs or scratches, nothing deep enough to hang your fingernail on.  Vinyl will still look good, labels may have small stickers or ink marks.  Jacket may have some writing, ink marks or ring wear.  May be some discoloration to the cover or seam wear, corner dings, etc.
    
• VG  VERY GOOD
  • Record will have noticeable scratches or scuffs that cause minor surface noise.  Vinyl may be dull.  Labels have small tears, tape marks, etc., but they will still be legible.  Jacket will be worn and used.  Seams may be split or repaired with tape.  Jacket may also have moderate ringwear, larger writing, labels or marks, scratches, etc., that damage the artwork.  
    
• G    GOOD , F FAIR, P POOR
  • Not worth listening to, much less collecting.  Only the rarest of the rare would be worthwhile to hold on to in this condition, and only then until you find something better.  This is the stuff that has spent years sitting in the back of the rack with no jacket, sliding back and forth against other records.  May also have served time as a Frisbee for your kids when they were too young to appreciate Hank Sr. or the Beatles.

  • LPs only - $8 first LP, $3 each additional LP.

USPS FIRST CLASS AIR MAIL CAN ONLY BE USED TO A LIMIT OF TWO (2) 78's, THREE (3) LP's OR FIVE (5) 45's ONLY.  PURCHASES OF QUANTITIES GREATER THAN THIS MUST USE PRIORITY MAIL BELOW.

Buying 78's?  Use the LP costs listed above.  Double LPs and boxed sets will be subject to additional shipping costs.  You may edit your shipping fees when submitting your payment via PayPal.

If buying multiple items, you should be able to adjust your shipping costs upon checkout. Or, wait for our invoice with the adjusted shipping cost discount.

Your record(s) will arrive in a clear plastic protective sleeve.  All missing inner paper sleeves will be replaced.  Your record will be professionally cleaned with the Nitty Gritty or VPI brand record cleaning machine.  

The record will be removed from the cover and placed against the cover inside the clear plastic protective sleeve for shipping.  This prevents any aggravation of seam splits.  We package your records with care, with appropriate packaging materials to protect your investment.
