This is a historical vintage Vogue Picture Records Album V-100; two records R725 and R726, from the 1940s. The Record Album is entitled "Study in Blue by The Hour of Charm All Girl Orchestra under the direction of Phil Spitalny. The Album contains these two records:

The two blue record holder tabs contain the writing: "Rhapsody in Blue Part I, Alice Blue Gown" and "Rhapsody in Blue Part II, Blue Skies". The two records and the record album appear to be in great condition, considering their vintage age (nearly 70 years old!). The left album cover edge contains the writing: "Study In Blue Phil Spitalny Vogue Album V-100 Rekordbox Pat. Pend." The front of the album cover contains: "Study in Blue by The Hour of Charm All Girl Orchestra under the direction of Phil Spitalny Rhapsody in Blue Part I and II Alice blue Gown Blue Skies Vogue The Picture Record". The back of the album cover contains no pictures or writing. This is a great item for collectors of old Vogue phonograph picture records, The Hour of Charm Records, and Phil Spitalny items. A wonderful piece phonographic memorabilia.
As you may know, Vogue Picture Records are phonograph records on the "Vogue" label which have a picture (an artist's illustration) embedded in the transparent vinyl of the record. The illustrations on each side of the record are usually related to the title of the song on that side. Many of the illustrations are mushy romantic themes. The most common Vogue picture records are 10-inch, 78 RPM records, although a few 12-in 78 RPM were also produced. Vogue picture records were produced by Sav-Way Industries of Detroit, Michigan. The first 10-inch Vogue picture record (catalog number R707) was released to the public in May 1946. Production ceased less than a year later in April 1947, with Sav-Way entering into receivership in August 1947. During this time, approximately seventy-four different 10-inch Vogue picture records were released. Each illustration has an "R" number (or catalog number) printed on it, ranging from R707 to R786. There are gaps in the sequence; not all of the eighty possible catalog numbers were used. There is also a "P" number (or matrix number) printed on the illustration (next to the copyright symbol). Normally both sides of a record have the same catalog number. Vogue picture records were sold individually, as well as in albums containing two records: eight different albums were released, and this album is 1 of these 8 albums !!
